Ellie Danson Funktion Band is a professional party band based in South Yorkshire, England. Our setlist includes a variety of pop songs performed with our unique Funk attitude that is guaranteed to get your feet tapping and guests dancing.
We provide a full 25K top of the range sound system to ensure premium sound quality throughout every performance, accompanied with stage and dance floor lighting controlled by our full-time sound engineer.
We have up to date public liability insurance, PAT test certificates and risk assess all events to ensure hassle free bookings.

Ellie Danson - Lead Singer
Starting her singing career in music theatre Ellie has been performing since the age of 13, entertaining large crowds in prestiges venues including Leeds & London O2 and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Ellie's musical influences span the decades and include Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse and Lianne La Havas. Beyond Ellie's excellent singing voice she is always the catalyst of the party and loves to boogie!
Trevor Staniland - Bass
Trevor is a multi-intrumentalist with over four decades experience in the music industry. As a successful producer in his own studio Trevor quickly gained a reputation for his creativity and high quality productions. Alongside Trevor's fruitful studio career Trevor has performed countless live shows with bands such as Scandal, Contraband, Girls on Film and Superheroes. Trevor's Bass grooves really do ignite the Funk!
Jeff Thompson - Drums
Jeff is a veteran of the drumming world performing thousands of shows both here in the UK and abroad. Since 1980, Jeff has shared the stage with multiple named artists such as Shalamar, The Housemartins and Big Country. For a number of years Jeff was the resident drummer for Complete Madness before joining The Gmen Soul band. As the engine of our band Jeff's experience ensures that we never miss a beat.
David Childs - Lead Guitar
Following in the footsteps of his father David started playing guitar aged six and has been performing live since the tender age of eight. Over this time David has been fortunate to share the stage with many professional artists such as The Drifters, Space and The Arctic Monkeys. Alongside his performance career David is a qualified teacher and holds a BA(Hons) and Masters Degree in music.
Clive Elston - Sound Engineer
Clive has a passion for great sound fidelity and takes pleasure in seeing a professional stage set-up. Clive is another veteran of the music world having provided the sound for Frank White, The Incredible Skank Brothers & The Gmen Soul band.
